At Greengates Holiday Cottage Watchet we have tried to blend luxury, comfort, character and charm together. This of course comes with all the modern amenities you would expect.

The property boasts 3 double bedrooms, a comfortable lounge with TV, dining room with feature wall and beamed ceiling. There’s a family bathroom with a roll top bath and a separate rain-head shower, as well as an extra shower room opposite the Master bedroom. Downstairs there’s also a separate WC and a handy utility room with a washing machine. The heart of any home is the kitchen and at Greengates Holiday Cottage Watchet ours comes ready with everything you need. There’s a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, larder and microwave and there’s also an excellent dual fuel range cooker.

Greengates Holiday Cottage Watchet is proudly pet friendly, and the town itself is such a welcoming place for dog owners. The beach is dog friendly, as are most of the pubs, cafes and shops. Moo and Boo our own 4 legged friends would tell you that if they could – they love it!

The Location

The Cottage is so well situated with Watchet’s picturesque marina, local shops, pubs and restaurants all nearby. Secondly the area is a wonderful place to kick back and relax, to enjoy family time, as well as an ideal spot for an out of season escape. Thirdly its position also makes it great for exploring the delights of the West Somerset and Devon Coast.

The Town

The historic harbour town of Watchet is so magical. Its Jurassic coastline offers great fossil hunting as well as bird watching. In the evenings Watchet also provides the most breath taking sunrises and sunsets. Even in the height of the holiday season the town has a peaceful, laid back feel with a friendly vibe. Watchet is a lively community with an incredibly welcoming heart. Take some time to visit the picturesque marina, or the little lighthouse. You could travel on the steam railway, wander around the museums or maybe visit the local art galleries. Spend some time browsing the antique shops, even go to the zoo or sample the local craft and food markets.

There’s pretty much everything you need right on your doorstep at Greengates Holiday Cottage Watchet. We have good local shops, friendly bars, cafe’s, pubs and takeaways. The Local Area

Watchet is only a few minutes drive away from picturesque Dunster Castle, Blue Anchor Bay and the popular seaside town of Minehead. So there are great leisure facilities, shops and attractions just around the corner. Finally we should n’t forget to mention the area offers some of the best walking in England. The Coleridge Way stretches across Exmoor and The Quantock Hills.

Exmoor is also recognised as one of the best off-road cycling destinations in the UK. The varied landscape and paths give cyclists and walkers loads to enjoy. If all this isn’t enough just drive south and  you’re into Devon with it’s beautiful north coast. Take a day trip out to places like Porlock, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe.
